Chris Corbyn

Buongiorno! I'm a 26 year old guy from England, currently living and working in Melbourne, Australia as a web developer for SitePoint. In the (Italian) summer of 2009 I took a short holiday at Lake Garda, coupled with a day trip to Venice. The whole experience was truly amazing so I plan to go back and spend a little more time there, soaking up the culture. Coming back to Australia I had a new found desire to study Italian, with the intention of speaking it on my next visit; and hopefully for many more visits beyond that. So what's this blog about? Honestly, I don't entirely know how I plan to use this blog, I'll just find my way as I go, but effectively I'd like to use it for two purposes: to practice my writing skills in Italian and to share any experiences I have as I study the language. Expect this to be a bi-lingual blog with my general thoughts/activities spilled out into text, Italian-style, but also a whole slog of content written in English, offering an outside perspective of all things Italian. If you're also studying la bella lingua and wish to share your thoughts, please do. Likewise, I'll probably get off to a bumpy start with my Italian, so be a critic and correct me. It's ok! I'm a chirpy kind of a guy and would very much like to engage my readers. Arrivederci! Chris
